我很喜歡這張雞蛋花。
喜歡的原因是這朵雞蛋花格外優雅，它是白底黃花的品種，卻又有著一抹淡淡的紅邊，彷彿為了拍這張照，它特別為我上了點腮紅。

說到雞蛋花的扦插，我有很多失敗的經驗，
像是：
1-枝條太長 (盡量在20公分以內)
2-水分過多 (只要盆土微潤即可)
3-天氣驟冷 (同時也要避免日曬哦)
所以你只要避免以上的條件，扦插成功率就很高。

雞蛋花非常耐旱且生命力極強，前年颱風吹折一段枝條掉在陽台，直到今天為止
它竟然還存活，並企圖發根長葉！

在峇里島你可以很容易見到盛開的雞蛋花，我所知
帛琉和泰國的國花均是雞蛋花。
峇里島、帛琉、泰國我都沒去過，倒是種了不同品種的雞蛋花，
讓我的小陽台充滿南洋風情。。。

在秋冬的季節，雞蛋花做基本的防寒準備是必要的。

在台灣，冬季氣溫最低大約在10度上下，且多為濕冷的環境；
這時盡量減少根部的水分浸泡，所以排水性很重要，
除非土壤因乾燥而成粉末狀，若不就盡量不要澆水。

氣溫在10度以下，雞蛋花就要開始冬眠，
在這段期間不可施肥，否則造成肥傷。

我自己種植的雞蛋花環境是：盆栽、半日照，
在經歷了5個寒暑之後的觀察，冬季期間雞蛋花的枝條會略微縮小，所有樹葉都會掉光僅剩光禿禿的枝條，它用整個夏季儲存的養分以度過冬天，所以夏天的日照、適量的輕肥及水分是雞蛋花最佳的養身之法。
